Maria has a food stand at the side of the main road, there she sells typical salvadoran dishes (like plantain sips, fried cassava), she does that about 4 times per week, the rest of the time she spends it at home doing household chores and taking care of her family. She has 2 children that will live with her and also her husband Hector, but he was working at the time of the interview.
The room where they live was built over 8 years ago, they built it at her mom’s property. The room is made of sheet metal and wood sticks.
