María is dedicated to household chores and, together with her daughter, sells tamales once a week, on Tuesdays or Saturdays. In the past, her daughter Roxana supported her financially, but she is currently unemployed, so both of them have turned to selling tamales as a means of livelihood.
She has lived for the past seven years in a very deteriorated house. The house is made of wood with severely worn metal sheets; these are already corroded, and when it rains, the water leaks inside.
