She used to sell empanadas and traveled to San Salvador every day by bus. However, after an accident she had while working in a cornfield, she fractured her foot, and this prevents her from walking long distances. Her 21-year-old son, Rodrigo, will be living with her.
They have been living in this house for more than 12 years, and her brother helped them build it with great effort. The house is made of metal sheets all around and is in very poor condition.
