Rosa prepares typical Salvadoran dishes at home and goes out to sell them in her community in the afternoons. She has been doing this for a couple of years now. In the mornings, before going out to sell, she takes care of her mother. At the new house, her father and her husband will also live with her, but they were not at home at the time of the interview.

Flor suffered an accident two years ago. She fell and broke her hips and feet. The doctors told her that, because of her age, they were not able to perform surgery on her. As a result, she now spends her days resting at home.
They moved to their current house 3 years ago, the house is made of metal sheet and clay tiles as well on the roof. But the condition of the house is not the best.
