Monica de la Cruz Barahona Peña

34 years old / farmer

Monica doesn’t have much free time because she spends most of the time working, she goes out early in the morning and comes back until the afternoon. But she tries her best to spend time with her children. For Monica it’s hard to provide a better place for her children, because she is a single mom, and the only person who supported her was her late father. When she heard the news about the house, she felt relieved knowing that she won’t have to worry about her children living in an unsafe place.

Wilber Esaú Martinez Barahona

They have been living in the same place for 10 years, the house was built by Monica’s father. But with the time it has been deteriorating, so they need a better place to live.

“We feel deeply grateful for this help, all people from this community feel happy because we all need a better place to live, none of us were expecting to receive a gift like this”.
