Irma prepares her grandchildren for school every day and then returns home to do household chores. She also takes care of the farm animals she has, such as chickens and pigs. With the money she earns from selling these animals, she supports her three grandchildren: Alexander, 12, Heylen, 8, and Angie, 7, who are under her care.
The house where she lives is no longer in livable condition, so she currently stays in her daughter's home. She needs her own space to live.
