Leyda has two jobs to help her mother and sister with living expenses. From 1:00 AM to 6:00 AM, she works as a chicken butcher, and from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM, she sells chicken. She has been working like this for seven years.

She is currently in 9th grade.
The house they live in was built over 20 years ago. Over time, she has made some improvements, but it’s still a house with a metal sheet roof and walls. It also has wood beams.
