Maria usually spends her time at home, but some days of the week she goes out to do the laundry at other people’s houses, she also makes tamales (a typical salvadoran dish) to sell them. At home she will live with her son José but he was not at home at the time of the interview.
Their house was built by the time of the earthquakes here in El Salvador (2001), the material of the house is metal sheets for the roof and the walls.
